Today is the 25th Anniversary of the press conference held at the University of Utah in which the achievement of ‘cold fusion’ by Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann was announced. I thought it appropriate to post a video of that event today.
The work of Pons and Fleischmann has been the trigger for a whole new field of research which seems to be rapidly accelerating today, and while the names of these scientists have for the past quarter century has been associated by many with incompetence and even fraud, I believe that before too long their reputation will be redeemed, and their discovery held up throughout the world as one of the most important in the history of science.
