LENR Cars Updates Site

There has been a considerable revamp of the web site for the Swiss company LENR Cars. The amount of information is still somewhat sparse, but there are some indications of the direction the company plans to go in.

The site states that there are two methods that the company proposes to power vehicles (first cars, but later ships, planes, trains, etc.):

LENR Cars is currently working on two alterative solutions to convert heat into electricity:image

Free piston Stirling generator
Super critical CO2 microturbine
For our initial prototype, the Stirling generator we are sourcing can produce 1.2kW of electricity (220V, AC) continuously.
More powerful system are planned with a 2kW and 7kW version which will start to suit some transportation applications.

Our super-CO2 microturbine alternative is a cost and weight optimization compared to the Stirling solution.

While there are some images of LENR cells on the site, there isn’t any detail about them, and it appears that the company is still in the early stages of working on finding ways to produce LENR power for their projects.

The only company officer mentioned on the site is CEO Nicolas Chauvin. The company also offers 3D printing and LENR consulting services.

Mr. Chauvin was in attendance at the ICCF-18 conference at the University of Missouri this summer and the presentation he gave there can be seen in the video below.

In the presentation Mr. Chauvin states that the company had a budget of $60,000 for 2013, $200,000 for 2014, and currently 1.5 employees with one trainee and numerous “volunteering partners”. He also says that company is planning to partner with LENR developers such as Rossi, Defkalion and Brillouin to provide core LENR technology.
