To make you wait, here is a photo of Andrea:

Dan Bad:
Bad of name and bad of fact: the photo has something strange… ( he,he,he ). By the way: who is the guy behind the schematic of the misterious gadget ?
Warm Regards,

It’s all rather mysterious, and could turn out to be nothing, but I’ll put it up here just in case people find it interesting:

Who is the guy behind the schematic of the mysterious gadget ?
It could be Foo or Kilroy? Only Dan Bad can tell us.

Andrea usually gives himself wiggle room. It is the blogs that try to affix exact times and events.

The drawing in that “photo” is just a joke of the Reader! It is a paste of the original photo, in which I was showing the diploma of the US Patent, with a drawing of a presumptive QuarkX design that has been totally invented by the Reader, just to joke with us…look well, you will see that the drawing contains the character of a cartoon, he,he,he…
Speaking seriously: yes, this year the official presentation should be done.
    Warm Regards,

    • Gerrit

I will bet $20 that this years official presentation will not change the situation, nor give us any tangible proof that Rossi hasn’t been just fooling around for the last 6 years. If it happens at all.

Who is the customer going to be this time ? “Goggle” a daughter of an unnamed entity from Mountain View, CA ? But in the end turns out to be Rossi’s auntie Rose again ?

  • Zephir

The Quark-X design looks like complete bogus for me. Why so many electric contacts, for example?
Every contact would decrease the reliability of the industrial equipment.

    • Pekka Janhunen

If you mean the “design” which is in the photo, I guess it’s supposed to look bogus because it’s a tongue-in-cheek joke made by an outsider. Or is there a real Quark-X design visible somewhere?

  • hempenearth

A little deliberate leak, certainly no golden shower!

January fools’ day, hope February won’t be the same.

  • Hador_NYC

This looks to be a photoshop image done for fun. I am not a image expert, so this is just my 2 cents. It does look like a fun image, and I do hope we get a real image like this next to something they are actually selling soon.

    • Omega Z

You’re correct, This was done in fun…

  • cashmemorz

Mid winter break from the cold blahs. A mild pick me up when my coffee don’t work. He. he. he. to you too. The last leg before the promised February demos from one or another new power producer is the hardest. So we get filler “news”. I have a pile of backed up data about various confirmations for new types of power. I guess I’ll just string them up like popcorn decorations for the last week of the holidays and hang it on my Christmas tree. Its all going in the garbage this weekend anyways.

  • Jonnyb

The camera never lies, well not until Photoshop.

    • US_Citizen71

Naw, it use to lie before as well, it just took much more work.

      • cashmemorz

Not enough work. The grass hopper seems to cast a shadow on the huntsman’s pants near his left pocket. So the guy really caught something which real size can be approximated by that shadow. The shadow on the shirt from neck to armpit is close to 45 degrees. The critter is partly in front of the man. Based on this the shadow from the critter should be on the man’s left leg. No consideration was shown for the critter’s shadow to make the photo more realistic. The camera does not lie but the insert of the grass hopper lies much.

        • Gerrit

It’s real if your just believe hard enough.

  • Ged

Seems Gerrit was just too powerful for you to beat this time!

  • sam

The idea of the wave form is smart though, incrementally increasing and diminishing.

  • Hi all

So we all know the image is Photoshoped from Rossi’s patent picture.

The question is are the board with what it describes and the devices in the picture the real E-Cat QuarkX Cell?

    Kind Regards walker

  • georgehants
    • Pekka Janhunen

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it was burned overnight. If the E-cat is put to market in immature state, that will happen with it as well.

      • georgehants

Pekka, are you suggesting it is sensible to have one man, small group, working in secret on such a breakthrough (if genuine) rather than that secret being released for all the scientists of the World to Research and hopefully start saving lives and relieving suffering quicker?
I disagree with such a selfish insane society!

  • wpj

Strange that AR does not know about Kilroy. Like the tennis court addition as well.

  • bachcole

I sure hope that this is real progress and not just a dream within the doze-off that Andrea has been doing to me recently. It does give me an up-tick of hope.

  • Pekka Janhunen

“Dan Bad”is Daniel Badoual: this one can see from the google page of the drawing. A person with the same name has earlier made drawings for the domestic E-cat. A google search on him returns an info page ( ) and one patent from 1998 ( ). A retired mechanical design engineer from France who has worked e.g. for Philips. Probably just a small joke from his part which has nothing to do with Rossi and is not a leak of any kind.

    • Ged

I am amused to see the “Pekka->Gamma Conversion” on that white board mockup. Immediately made me think of you!

  • Rene

Love the made to look sloppy hiding of omg seekrit sauce writings just over his shoulder. It is a photoshopped composite Rossi’s patent photo. Cute.

Although X/Y addressed circuits to individually address a quark is a nice touch.

  • Veblin

This is the image of Andrea Rossi holding his patent with concept drawingsand more from Daniel Badoual.

  • Gerrit

the photo is obviously shopped, the stuff in the front and the whiteboard are pasted into it. This is orchestrated. Rossi wants us to go wild about the whiteboard info and fill pages of comments on what this could mean. Who Pekka, Irina and Vitaly are etc, etc, etc. What a load of crap.
