Don’t forget the work of Mark LeClair and Sergio Lebid of Nanospire, Inc:

    https://nanospireinc.com/Fusion.html

To quote (for those who are unaware of the remarkable work of Mark LeClair and Segio Lebid):

“In March, 2007 Mark LeClair built and tested the first cavitation reactor powered by the LeClair Effect, based on (their) patented technology. More research was done from 2007 to 2009 with a variety of other reactor designs that led to a series of key experiments performed from July – August, 2009 under a grant, titled: Utilization of Crystallized Cavitation Reentrant Jets for Zero Point Energy Production. The goal was to produce a next stage hot water heater reactor based on the LeClair Effect and was awarded by a potential investor focused on promoting cold fusion. Mark LeClair and Serge Lebid discovered that the scaled-up LeClair Effect reactor was triggering intense fusion, fission and large scale elemental transmutation using ordinary water. The 1.25” ID by 12” long reactor produced 2.9 kW of hot water using only 840 watts of input, a coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.4 times more energy out than in. The water temperature was raised an average of 18 degrees C (32 degrees F) average passing through the reactor with 28 degree C (50 degrees F) temperature spikes observed. A total of twelve experiments were performed, with 100% repeatability of the high levels seen in excess heat and transmutation in the various configurations.

Evidence of trenches generated by the passage of the water crystal propelled by the LeClair Effect could be seen all over the reactor cores. The positive crystal followed the induced negative charge on the rows and columns of holes of the coiled perforated aluminium plate that formed the reactor cores, with trenches usually going tangent to tangent along the holes, orbiting the holes and also the sheet edges, all guided by electrostatic attraction. Many of the holes were progressively filled with transmuted material, transmuted material also formed on the sheet surface. A uniform width melted heat affected zone (HAZ) along each side of the crystal trenches could be seen. The trench was disrupted at many points along its length by millimeter-sized pits from the apparent triggering of small supernova explosions, which also contained macroscopic amounts of multicolored transmuted elements.

The large scale transmutation of elements was verified by three separate independent scanning electron microscope elemental analysis (SEM-EDAX) of the transmuted material, including University of Maine, Orono Laboratory for Surface Science & Technology (SEM-EDAX & XPS under contract), by courtesy of Media Sciences, located in Oakland, New Jersey and by courtesy of well-known Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR) researcher and advocate Dr. Edmund Storms, formerly of Los Alamos in New Mexico. The University of Maine, Orono Chemistry Department also performed an analysis known as XPS that measured nucleus binding energy, confirming that the glassy coating seen covering much of the reactor cores was diamond. The SEM analyses collectively detected a total of 34 elements ranging from carbon to polonium. The same samples analyzed by SEM-EDAX and XPS were also analyzed with laser ablative inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (LA-ICP-MS) by Shiva Technologies (an operating unit of Evans Analytical Group) located in Syracuse, NY. The more sensitive LA-ICP-MS detected a total of 78 elements ranging from lithium to californium and 108 isotopes ranging from 7Li to 249Cf, a standard detection set that does not include all the possible isotopes, but including most of the stable isotopes and many short and long lived radioactive isotopes. Together, the five analyses showed that nearly every element in the periodic table was detected in every type of transmuted particle in different distributions, up to the limit of the LA-ICP-MS detection range, californium.

The transmuted elements were produced as chips up to one millimeter in size, in gram amounts and clouded the clear polystyrene dishes they were placed in with rings of nuclear tracks from the radioactive decay of short-lived isotopes. The composition of the transmuted material followed the same patterns as supernova nucleosynthesis, mostly carbon and oxygen (like white dwarves) with decreasing amounts of the heavier elements. The elemental distribution followed the saw-tooth shaped astronomer’s odd-even rule, with even numbered elements occurring in significantly greater amounts than the odd elements because of the dominance of alpha particle fusion. The isotope ratios matched those seen in both stellar and supernova nucleosynthesis. Many radioactive extinct and non-naturally occurring elements were detected, including isotopes of the transuranic elements. Most importantly, all the rare earths, precious metals and many other key elements were produced in high concentrations, greater than typically seen in most naturally occurring ores.”

In fact, the only “problem” was that the reactor produced large amounts of radiation… and yet the Main Stream are still carrying on with doughnut systems (pun intended) such as ITER. I just don’t get it…

    • GreenWin

Gordon, I don’t get it either. Except the confederacy of dunces building ITER are intent on diverting attention away from progress. I would speculate cavitation is understood and working well in various black programs creating abundant rare elements, energy, and propulsion.

Why not commission Claus Oldenberg to fabricate a giant hot air balloon above the ITER site and save $30B – which would go far to raise civilian standards of living? http://bit.ly/1UufdWq

This remains me Alberto Carpinteri and the piezonuclear fission – Related to LENR/ Cold Fusion. See how the Italian so called scientists have treated this renowned professor for his research.

  • Curbina

Cavitation is a so called “over unity” suspect since long. The invention called “hydrosonic pump” is claimed to be 2 times overunity to heat water by using a special rotor to induce cavitation in the circulating water. It has been subject to calorimetric analysis and foun to be at most 99% efficient, which is not bad, but not OU.

    • GreenWin

It seems “sonofusion” falls into this same category. Using acoustic cavitation to collapse gas bubbles creating fusion. Cavitation is a likely tangent to LENR. Though the hydrodynamic version has inherent heat transfer problems.

  • Gerard McEk

Imploding cavitation bubbels are suspect of LENR effects for a long time. Also gamma Ray’s have been detected. That LENR like effects take place herstel is plausibel. Interesting find Frank!

  • bachcole

I think that if SHT had the goods, they would be selling hydrogen and making money. I ask anyone knowledgeable about their operation if they know how SHT finances their operation??? I realize that money is not everything, but to live in the real world and to increase their freedom (rather than having to take orders from stake holders), their ideal business model would be to include selling hydrogen as soon as possible. This would help their people pay for their mortgages and keep them from becoming dependent upon sharks. Are they doing this yet?

    • Alain Samoun

Euh… It’s not exactly the subject bachcole

  • Roland

    Fascinating, thanks Frank.

Do you wonder how long it’ll take to mechanically replicate this bit of shrimp physics, or is this ground zero for cavitation research?

It’s reminiscent of another bit of arcana; some folks think that humans first broke the ‘sound barrier’ in the 1950s, in point of fact the first example is lost in time with the invention of the whip.

The ‘crack’ of the whip is the tip going hyper-sonic.

    • Obvious

The (strongest) crack of a whip is a collapse of a cavitation bubble in air. Over 400 C has been measured, by vaporization of material contained in the tip, which can reside between two torus shaped cavitation bubbles formed (one on each side of the loop just ahead of the crack), which are rotated even faster as the tip is withdrawn, supersonic, which then sends a shockwave into the cavitation bubbles, first compressing, then exploding them.

    • US_Citizen71

Not to be pedantic but humans have never rode the tip of a whip, so no a whip doesn’t count as humans breaking the sound barrier. Humans actually first hit and possibly broke the sound barrier in the 1940’s during WWII with fighter planes in a dive. The planes broke up immediately as they were not designed to handle the stress of supersonic flight.

      • Roland

You’re not being pedantic; my somewhat facetious introduction of the whip in this context was intended to highlight the reframing of what once appeared to be a well understood phenomena in light of new knowledge, as Obvious subsequently demonstrates.

I do expect, as understanding of LENR expands, that we’ll come to recognize that the hints have been all around us and largely obscured by incorrect explanations.

      • Frechette

Some German pilots claimed that the ME 262, which was the first operational jet fighter plane, would break the sound barrier in a dive. They did not break up incidentally.

        • US_Citizen71

I have read similar but most accounts were second hand as not many ME 262 lived through the war to tell the tale. Most of what I was referring to came from accounts told by pilots who flew P-51’s and P-38’s and watched others dive and break up.

          • Frechette

Actually a number of ME-262 were shipped to the US as war booty to be evaluated at Wright Paterson. Also taken was the German surface to air missile known as Wasserfall. The Russian SAM-1 used against US bombers flying missions over North Vietnam was based on this German design. If you google Wasserfall you’ll get all the details. The German flying wing ( Nur Flugel) designed by the Horten brothers was the first stealth aircraft. The power plant consisted of two gas turbines built into the wing unlike the ME-262 configuration. It was also brought to the US and is now in possession of the Smithsonian Museum in DC. I’ve seen it in one of their storage hangars. Recently a version of it was reconstructed after the original and tested for its stealth capability by a US defense contractor at their radar test site.

            • US_Citizen71

Yes I know about all of the technological war booty brought back to the US after WWII forgot the word ‘pilots’ after ‘ME 262’ in the above post.

  • Obvious

What other than cavitation is required? Probably nothing.
