Rossi: High Temperature Report Will be Validated by Customer

On July 1st Andrea Rossi made a comment on the Journal of Nuclear Physics which seems to have escaped much discussion here so far. Regarding the upcoming report on the testing of the high temperature E-Cats, Rossi said, “I suggest to wait for the report we officially will publish for the validation in course, made by our Customer.”

This is the second time I have seen Rossi use the word ‘validation’ in connection with this test, and the first time that he has mentioned that the ‘Customer’ is involved in the test. Who the Customer is, is unknown at this point, of course. But Rossi has mentioned two different unidentified customers over the last year or so — the military customer, and the non-military one. So far, both have preferred anonymity.

A validation of a test by an anonymous customer does not carry much, if any weight, so if the customer wishes to remain anonymous another strategy would be to send a known agent to carry out the validation on their behalf. This is the strategy that was used on October 28th when Domenico Fioravanti carried out the test of the E-Cat plant in Bologna, and certified it acceptable on behalf of the customer.

From what Rossi has said, it appears that this report will be more than just him reporting on his own data measurements, but we’ll have to wait and see for exactly how this validation will be done.

They announced the discovery of Higgs Boson particle tonight. It might confirm that dark energy is something that can be tapped into.

Can someone PLEASE ASK ROSSI how long before LENR is accepted worldwide and all of his supporters can hold their heads up again. I think I speak for many saying we support him and love this technology but it’s tiring explaining it over and over to those who don’t believe.

It always seems to be a few months. Wait till October. Wait till next October. Wait a few months. Is this technology going to land?

    • GreenWin

kwhilborn – why do you need Ing Rossi to do this for you? You can do all he has done and MORE. He has shown you the way – now, kwhilborn it is time for you to carry the message. LENR is real, it is clean, and abundant and it will change the world. All you need do… is spread the good news.

    • Ged

The EU is way ahead of you, my friend 😀

  • joe j

I wonder if the customer is the same secret customer that bought the 1MW plant that was said to be delivered but still sits in Rossi garage.

  • Nixter

I did miss the recent Rossi allusion hinting that the the test data will NOT be coming only from him. If Siemans or similarly vetted entities release test reports backing Rossi’s claims, I will be mightily impressed and intrigued. The die hard doubters will probably hold out until the very end, but if the reality of the technology is being validated by leading edge technology companies like Siemans, these ideologically entrenched doubters will look like bone casting Witch Doctors when historians look back at this time.

Which is more interesting, the pending Higgs Boson news, or H-NiLENR being validated? I think that LENR being found to be real is more important in the short term. There may be functioning LENR hardware showing up very soon.

But with the Higgs Boson, any physical manifestations based on that discovery could take days or decades, probably the later. • Ged

If we could use the Higgs field to create artificial gravity and inertial dampeners, that would just be… I don’t even think I have a word for how flabbergasting an accomplishment of those two seemingly impossible feats that would be.

I would expect such things would take a lot of power though, so if we can master LENR, that would be a huge boon to implementing such theoretical goals; especially for a space craft.

Just want to thank Frank for the last several updates. They have been very helpful. Your efforts are appreciated!

Ditto. Thanks, Frank. Keep up the great work. I read every day.

“I was JUST in Athens and met with representatives of Defkalion. They told me that they were going to begin selling their LENR device this July 2012”

    Where’s the beef?

    • Ged

Well, admittably it is only just the start of July. But I wonder if those plans were torpedoed by this hold up of data till August. That would be my assumption.

Hard to say if Defkalion will be able to nail down the reaction stability.

  • dfnj

“Who the Customer is, is unknown at this point, of course.”

This is why credibility and reputation of E-Cat keeps getting diminished.

Low Nuclear Energy Reactions in Condensed Matter

A nice overview of the current status and call to action.

“The research is currently limited by economic and technical reasons, particularly in Europe. Funding the research should be the target to achieve a critical mass on a multidisciplinary level. There are only few academic institutions working on this research field and an increasing number of these institutions need to be involved, along with a network, particularly in Europe.”

Good news. Things seems to slowly start to move in the right direction.

The reported workshop took place on 28th of October 2011???

I am wondering how many persons(politicians, scientists) actually took notice of it? Or has there been something going on in the background without much public attention?

    • Pachu

      Thats great.

      Recommendations to the Commission :

 Include LENR in FP7 calls as
research on materials as it has
      unlimited and sustainable future
      energy technology potential.

 Support the study in material
science as a strategic approach to
      achieve the control of the
      technology.

       Support workshops, meetings,
      visiting exchanges in Europe and
      between European and US research
      institutions.

“The main advantages of the LENR technology are that the energy source is unlimited and available everywhere, gives high power density and it has a comparative absence of environmental impact.”

    • artefact

      From that document:
“ENEA, SRI and NRL have been involved
within review programs in the US and in
Italy. The main task was to
demonstrate, on the basis of signals well
      above the measurement uncertainties
and with a cross check, the existence of
the excess of heat production during
      electrochemical loading of deuterium in
      palladium cathodes. The target was
achieved and the existence of the effect
      is no longer in doubt.”

    • Ged

Figure 3.4.2 is by ENEA. Does anyone know exactly who ENEA and NRL are? Since the report lists them along with SRI as directly working on this and verifying that “…the existence of the effect is no longer in doubt” (page 23 of the report). I’d like to know more about these two, previously unheard of (as far as I know) groups.

      • Ged

Oh, just realized ENEA was listed by NI as being one of the many labs they are working with (still don’t know who ENEA is though). I think NRL may then be the Naval Research Laboratories, also listed by NI.

      • AB

ENEA is an Italian agency. It stands for “Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Environment”. They were the ones who made “report 41”.

        • Ged

Thank you! That is very interesting to know.

        • AB

This explains what happened with report 41: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89dbXdz–eI

          • Ged

Wow, that is an incredibly interesting video. Showing that LENR cell in operation was fascinating. Far more vigorous in a liquid bath than I realized!

And I noticed ENEL mentioned a few times. This interests me from when I was trying to track down Rossi’s trust of investors, and it seemed it could be involvement from ENEL. But the leads didn’t really go anywhere. Still… fascinating they have known about it and the work of ENEA.

            Thank you again!

          • Sanjeev

This is a good proof that CF research is being suppressed.

Not only there is a ban on funding and publication of results, there is also a media ban.

I’m almost certain that no mainstream media will publish the latest EC report.

FP7 is the EU’s research and development program. The author of the article seems to have no doubt that LENR is real but only describes Pd/D research. Ni-H isn’t mentioned as far as I could see.

      • Ged

A lot of research up to this point has been on Pd/D reactions (they could be considered the original), but many have also shown Pd/H reactions to be similar in characteristic. I guess the research field is just a little behind the curve on catching up to testing Ni/H. This might be since Pd is used so often in unique hydrogen and deuterium reactions (e.g. electrolysis, hydrogen fuel cells), and from the classical experiments.

It’s good to have consistency when first evaluating a phenomenon. I look forward to seeing the results if anyone starts publishing more on Ni/H and Ni/D, and comparing that behavior with the Pd experiments.

        • GreenWin

Brian Ahern (Rome Research Lab Hanscom AFB) – just commented at Cold Fusion Now! that pursuit of PdD is a waste of time. NiH systems deliver 10x energy.

If you follow the “Report 41” story closely you’ll see how ENEA President, Nobel Laureate Carlo Rubbia was forced to abandon the cold fusion research HE initiated. Shameful.

…when Dominico Fioravanti carried out the test of the E-Cat plant in Bologna, and certified it acceptable on behalf of the customer.

Another such ‘certification’ and Rossi is toast.

  • Pietro F

    The anonymous customer is italian.

    Pietro F.

    • Torbjörn

      Can you tell us more?

      • Ged

I do remember Rossi saying the second customer was from the EU, at least. But, there’s many multi-national and global companies with regional divisions… so it doesn’t really tell us much, unfortunately.

    • AB

Ansaldo Energia? They had a representative (Andrea Di Vita) at the 1 MW demo.

  • Mark Saker

    wait, to be clear…

Andrea is still sending a copy of the report to PESN or is it now going to be under lock and key with the anonymous customer?

    • admin

I’ve been told by Rossi that it will be published on the Journal of Nuclear Physics

  • Hampus

Could it be Siemens? Are they not the company who supplies rossi with electrical instruments?

    • Torbjörn

Rossi’s first customer helped him with the electrical equipment, i don’t know if National Insruments helps him with that right now. As far as i know Siemens just showed him a turbine.

    • Don Witcher

Rossi and his ecats is a new energy supplier and as such he is like the gas, oil, and coal companies. It takes a builder of power plants to convert that energy into a more usable form for industrial uses. Siemans is one of the major power plant builders in the world. http://www.energy.siemens.com/hq/en/power-generation/power-plants/

We know from Rossi’s posts that he established a connection with Siemans some time ago to combine ecats and turbines for electrical power generation. Therefore it seems likely that the validation of the 600 degree ecats would have to be done by Siemans. I can’t think of a more credible organization to validate Rossi’s ecat since Siemans will be using it to build products for its customers.
