In a press release today, New Jersey company BlackLight Power (BLP) announced that numerous scientific and industry experts had validated the company’s process that converts water vapor directly into electricity. BLP has invented a process it calls CIHT (Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition) in which hydrogen molecules in water vapor are transformed by the use of electrochemical cells into a new, smaller molecules called ‘hydrinos’. In the process of this transformation electrical energy is created.
Today’s announcement states that “in six separate, independent studies, leading scientists from academia and industry with PhDs from prestigious universities including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology, confirm that BlackLight has achieved a technological breakthrough with its CIHT (Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition) clean energy generating process and cell.”
BLP’s CEO and chairman says, “”BlackLight’s continuously operating, power-producing system converts ubiquitous H2O (water) vapor directly into electricity, oxygen, and a new, more stable form of Hydrogen called Hydrino, which releases 200 times more energy than directly burning hydrogen.” The press release states that currently BLP’s technology is able to consistently produce 10W of energy on a continuous level, more than ten times the amount of energy that is used to initiate the process. BLP projects that by 2013 they will create a 1.5 kiloWatt (kW) pilot unit that will be suitable for electricity production in the residential market.
The press release includes statements from six PhDs who support and endorse BLP’s claims.
