Rossi: 50,000+ Pre-Orders for E-Cats Received: Predicts Worldwide Shipments Within 18 Months

January 23, 2012
By

People reading Andrea Rossi’s Journal of Nuclear Physics blog see that people regularly write posts pre-ordering the domestic E-Cats that Rossi has announced. Today Rossi made the following statement regarding the status of this product:

Dear Christian Bistriceanu:
Your pre-order has been accepted. By the way: so far we received about 50,000 pre-orders and counting, which is not bad, for a product that has still to be described in details. Our 10,000 target has been burnt rapidly.
The E-Cat will be offered in details by tis Autumn and the shipments will start probably within the next winter, if we will have not delays for unforeseen problems. Surely we will start the shipments within 18 months from now.
You will be free to buy it wherever you want and send it wherever you want. You will be also able to buy it in Internet and we will provide you all the assistance you need.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

Rossi has said he is hoping for an initial product run of 1 million E-Cat units, and perhaps he is hoping for 1 million pre-orders. There is no indication if before the launch there will be any further demonstration or validation of the product. Nor has he mentioned anything regarding a warranty or a money-back guarantee on the domestic E-Cat all of which I would imagine would make a large difference to the number of orders that will be placed. One would expect that those would be an important part of any marketing and advertising campaign — if Leonardo Corporation is planning on that.

Those pre-orders are not legally binding; i.e., they are not enforceable promises to pay. Thus, they are largely, if not totally, irrelevant.

    Why?

    Is it true or not?

And why do we not get answers?

  3. Chatrinder on January 25, 2012 at 5:35 pm

Congratulation Mr. Andrea A. Rossi and how can I contact you.

It would be nice if Rossi would demo just one (1) device, instead of talking about 10000, millions, 18000, this autumn, this Winter, and now 18 months.
He’s buying time and showing nothing.
It’d be nice if he can tell which reaction was taking place.

Instead he is giving ever more bigger numbers with the data at which he should show something quickly moving away. 18 months? It was 8 months not two weeks ago.
And how does it work, Rossi? Have you discovered any new laws of physics lately?

Hi, what’s the link to pre-order an e-cat ? http://www.e-cat.com doesn’t work for now, and I’m not sure it’s the “official” Rossi’s website.

    Thanks a lot.

Wether next winter 2012, the waiting delay w’d be 8 months ?

That’s a lot of orders…something like 500 a day. Where are they coming from? I don’t get the sense that the UK is supplying the orders…

Otherwise – even if AR gets a technical approval from UL or similar – a system with COP==6 would be somewhat similar to a heat pump.
If you offer a system with COP > 25 – there will be some government attention due to loss of tax on primary energy.
So its better to market a system with guaranteed COP > 6 (even if its 50) – as to promise some (political) alarming efficiency.

    • Steve Robb on January 23, 2012 at 9:40 pm

Not sure what you were saying. A high COP will reduce fuel and electricity usage thereby reducing tax revenue causing the governments to wake up and take notice of what is happening. Then what follows? They find a new way of sucking money away. Besides that we really, really don’t need government involvement in LENR other than to get out of the way and maybe to close the Department of Energy (USA) and cut funding of the great money pit know as Tokamak fusion schemes.

      • Pontus on January 24, 2012 at 2:44 am

The whole system is only self-serving. All we need is energy and that is why they wont let us have it unless we pay the price.

    • LENR4you on January 23, 2012 at 11:04 pm

A heat pump from cold to warm about 30°C COP= 5.

Not at a temperature range 90°C.

      That is different.

    Hello.
Did somebody know if A.R has obtained the gouverment approval for the home E-Cats, or is it still pending?
    best regards:
    Martin

      still pending

Again, if Defkalion’s COP is 25-32+, Rossi will not sell too many given his COP is 6 no matter how cheap his turns out to be. Rossi’s E-Cat will be the Yugo of LENR devices so to speak. I suppose someone will buy them. I don’t want to underestimate Rossi though–I hope he meets this challenge and I am proven wrong.

Also it’s not clear if and when he will be doing independent testing/product demonstrations before finalizing orders. He is going to have to in order to sell anything, IMO.

    • Steve Robb on January 23, 2012 at 9:24 pm

Have I missed something? I have yet to see anything akin to a demonstration from Defkalion of a LENR product, not even one as shabby of the ones performed by Rossi. Now I understand that the two were once working together and there is a suggestion that Defkalion filched the powder from Rossi but I am very skeptical of Defkalion’s claim. I am about 90% certain that Rossi has something albeit rather primitive and suspect Defkalion to be working hard on the problem but until I see something more substantial than a few drawings and photos of mockups I can’t give them credit for anything.

As skeptical as I am about this, when I look at the world around us and everything that is going on.

The E-Cat brings a single glimmer of hope to my eye.

    • atanguy on January 23, 2012 at 10:33 pm

For me too, just hope it is not a mirage, an image of a distant object.

      • Joe on January 24, 2012 at 2:24 am

That glimmer is getting dimmer and more distant with each passing day.
